DART's technology was born in the lab!
Our founders are research scientists whose work often require detection of more specific proteins, bacteria, or even virus.
With the need to improve their work, a new research route appeared with the goal of using new biomaterials to generate more sensitive biossensors.
- IT WAS TIME TO MOVE ON -
After a few years of trying to produce a method that would allow the user to detect minimal amounts of molecules, in minimal amounts of sample, the technology was mature enough to be selected for the COHiTEC Programe. Over several months the team members were teached basic business rules, and how to transform an invention into a commercial product.
It was a time of extreme hard work, full of pressure and chanlenges, that ended up paying of.
DART Diagnostics won the COHiTEC challenge, and with it the opportunity for seed funding from Caixa Capital. Since then we have now our own office and laboratory spaces and are focused on growing even more.
